No shortage of thoughtful crime stories

It’s tempting to generalize about “the media” and fret that journalists routinely fail to educate the public about the true nature of crime and punishment. Certainly we don’t lack for examples of exploitative, ignorant storytelling. So it’s instructive to be reminded there is a whole lot of quality journalism about criminal justice.
